Senior guard Kendall Williams of Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos has apparently opened up his college recruiting after being a UCLA commit for two years, according to ESPN.

It was supposedly a mutual decision. It makes sense because UCLA Coach Ben Howland and his staff have been scouting point guards.

But this would be the second time Howland has failed when giving a player a very early scholarship offer. Williams committed as a sophomore; former Santa Ana Mater Dei forward Taylor King committed to the Bruins as a freshman but ended up at Villanova, not UCLA.
