The U.S. team defeated Canada, 12-6, to win the gold medal in baseball at the Maccabiah Games in Israel. The U.S. team had a large contingent from Southern California, including USC-bound shortstop Adam Landecker from Calabasas and Woodland Hills Taft All-City infielder Jordan Berger. D.J. Green from Calabasas led the team with a .609 average.
