Larry Edwards, who last coached football at Calabasas in 2002, has returned as head coach, taking over for Lance Martin, who resigned to become coach at Simi Valley.

Edwards will continue to serve as Calabasas’ athletic director. He said he’ll make a decision at the end of the season whether to stay as coach. Edwards is the last coach to win a Marmonte League game at Calabasas in 2002. He also has brought back former Coyotes Coach Wayne Quigley to serve as an assistant coach.

The Calabasas program is trying to keep its young players from transferring. Several have already left for Agoura and West Hills Chaminade.
