The Times made a commitment sometime back to cover high school sports online because it no longer did much of it in the sports section of the paper. Well, it is quite obvious that its coverage is declining just as the paper itself is devolving towards being a tabloid. There was no mention of the L.A. City golf championships held a few weeks back when Venice High set a team scoring record on the first day of the team competition and won the competition by 18 points over the second place team. Quite a story and such a shame no coverage!
