Baseball: Ex-Hart pitcher is freshman pitcher of the year

Trevor Bauer, a former Newhall Hart pitcher who skipped his senior year to enroll at UCLA, has been named the national freshman pitcher of the year by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
Bauer was 9-3 with a 2.99 ERA for the Bruins. He was earlier named the Pacific 10 Conference freshman of the year and a first-team all-conference selection.
