Football: Nominees for 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl announced

Forty-seven of the 400 nominees for the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl hail from California. The game will be played Jan. 9 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

The local nominees are offensive lineman Wade Yandall of Carson, defensive lineman George Uko of Chino Don Lugo, running back James McConico of Compton, linebacker Brandon Brown of Corona Centennial, running back Jordan James of Corona, quarterback Bryan Bennett and defensive lineman Grasu Hroniss of Crespi, running back Anthony Brown of Kaiser, wide receiver Robert Woods of Gardena Serra, defensive back Sean Parker of Narbonne, defensive back Dietrich Riley of La Canada Flintridge St. Francis, wide receiver Kevin Anderson of Lakewood, wide receiver Kaelin Clay of Long Beach Poly, wide receiver Paul Richardson of Los Alamitos, wide receiver De'Shawn Beck of L.A. Jordan, defensive back Charles Garrett of Dorsey, wide receiver Anthony Jefferson of L.A. Cathedral, running back Hayes Pullard of Crenshaw, running back Anthony Barr of L.A. Loyola, defensive lineman Ronald Powell of Rancho Verde, linebacker Cecil Whiteside of Newport Harbor, defensive backs Keith Hutchins and Jared Bell and wide receiver Kenneth Scott of Colony, tight end Christian Thomas of Highland, running back Deontae Cooper of Citrus Hill, tight end Randal Telfer of Rancho Cucamonga, quarterback Tyler Shreve of Redlands East Valley, running back Emery Schexnayder of Riverside North, quarterback Ryan Kasdorf of Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, defensive back Brock Vereen of Valencia, defensive back Troy Hill of St. Bonaventure, running back Malcolm Jones, offensive lineman Erik Kohler, defensive lineman Cassius Marsh and linebacker Zac Stout of Oaks Christian and running back D.J.
