Dannie Farber, a senior All-City receiver from Harbor City Narbonne who helped the team become City Section co-champions last season, was shot and killed while eating at a restaurant in Compton on Sunday night, according to a Los Angles County sheriff’s spokesman. He was 18.
‘It’s a tragic loss,’ said assistant coach Byron Moore Sr., who has known him since coaching him in youth football. ‘He was always full of energy. I’m going to miss him dearly.’
