Baseball: Showing class when it was needed

There was a large crowd for Friday’s West Valley League showdown between Chatsworth and host Reseda Cleveland, and Cleveland students were making lots of loud comments in the seats behind home plate.

Finally, in the third inning, a Cleveland fan had heard enough. Justin Kaid, a former Cleveland player attending the game because his brother, Nick, plays for the Cavaliers, told the students to stop their derogatory comments directed toward Chatsworth.

The students listened to him and stopped. It was leadership at its best. And it was class.
