These Lopez twins could be the next big thing in college cross-country.

Sisters Sabrina and Regina Lopez of Sacred Heart of Jesus are expected to sign national letters of intent with Oregon State this week, said their mother, Esperanza Lopez. Sabrina is receiving a full scholarship and Regina is receiving a scholarship that will cover 80% of her tuition and fees.

Sabrina finished fifth at the Footlocker Cross-Country Championship in 2007 with a time of 19 minutes 23 seconds and was Horizon League champion in 2008 in the 3,200 meters, 1,600 meeters and 4 X 400-meter relay. Regina finished 47th at the Footlocker event and was second behind her sister in the 3,200 meters and 1,600 meters while participating on the same 4 X 400-meter relay.
