Longtime USC commit Vontaze Burfict from Corona Centennial appears to be headed to Arizona State. A final decision might not be announced until Wednesday’s signing day, but Coach Matt Logan said Monday that academic considerations figure prominently in the change of mind for the highly touted linebacker prospect.

Logan said the Burfict family feels that ASU has done a good job explaining what Burfict will need to do to gain eligibility.
