Terry Kelly, who guided North Hollywood Campbell Hall to three state Division IV boys’ basketball championships in eight years as coach, has resigned to pursue other coaching opportunities.

Kelly came from Florida in 2001 and helped turn the Vikings into a Southern Section small schools powerhouse. His teams went 33-1 and 31-5 in 2007 and 2008, led by UCLA freshman Jrue Holiday.

The Vikings won 62 consecutive league games and 60 consecutive home regular-season games until losing to Los Angeles Windward this month. His overall record was 202-44.

‘I’m taking an incredible leap of faith resigning without a job,’ Kelly said. ‘I just think it’s time to branch out.’

Kelly said he will seek another administrative or coaching position in California or out of state. No replacement has been named.
