Baseball: Valencia has another promising sophomore

Valencia's baseball team has one of the top sophomores in the state in shortstop Christian Lopes, but the Vikings showed off another promising sophomore Saturday in a winter game against Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.
Quincy Quintero, who played junior varsity last season, threw two shutout innings as a starting pitcher and contributed a three-run home run against Notre Dame hard-throwing right-hander David Armendariz.
