Bishop Montgomery captured the Division II-AA boys' basketball title with a 60-45 victory over Colony on Saturday afternoon and here's what some of the guys on the team had to say about the big game:
-- Austin KnoblauchLola Wells may be the lower scoring of the two Wells sisters, but she had a big title game for the second year in a row to lead top-seeded Miller to the Division I-A championship.
Wells had 17 points, eight steals and six assists to lead Miller to a 51-40 victory over Los Osos.
Sophomore Chloe Wells, who is the leading scorer for the Rebels with a 17.5-point average, scored 15 and had four steals.
Riverside King outscored Etiwanda, 20-10, in overtime to steal the Southern Section Division I-A boys' basketball final at Honda Center, 79-69.
The top-seeded Wolves were the benficiary of two questionable calls in the final minute of regulation. The first was on a charging call on Erick Ellis as he laid in a basket. It appeared Geroge Fields was well under the basket when the players collided.
The other happened when the second-seeded Eagles grabbed a defensive rebound with about 17 seconds left and holding a one-point lead. However, Ellis fell on his backside before he could begin his dribble and was called for traveling. Etiwanda Coach Dave Kleckner was livid.
Heading to overtime here at the Division I-A final between Etiwanda and Riverside King.
Rome Draper of Etiwanda nailed a three-pointer with 39 seconds remaining to give Etiwanda a two-point lead.
It appeared the Eagles secured a defensive rebound on the other end, but Erick Ellis fell down and was called for traveling. Ellis also lost a basket on a questionable charge with about a minute left.
The Wolves inbounded the ball with about 16 seconds left, George Fields shot an airball with about five seconds on the clock, but Kawhi Leonard caught the ball out of the air and put it back in to tie the score, 59-59.

That was Taft guard Larry Drew Jr.'s line of points, rebounds and assists in the Toreadors' 65-55 win over Fairfax in the City Section Championship Division title game Saturday. And it doesn't begin to tell how brilliant Drew was.
He drove through the Lions defense at will, getting a shot anytime he wanted. He kept Taft under control whenever Fairfax tried to make a run.
He made the Lions look helpless to stop him, something Drew has done to just about every team he has played against.
Miller had a big third quarter to take a commanding lead over Los Osos, 40-30.
Miller is going for its second consecutive section title.
Lola Wells has 13 points, and Chloe Wells and Brianna Hall have 10 points apiece.

They might need to straighten out the rims here at the Honda Center when this day is done.
Another brutal shooting performance in the first half of the Southern Section Division I-A final between Etiwanda and Riverside King.
Etiwanda made seven of 25 field-goal attempts and trails King at the half, 27-22.
I predicted the winner of this game won't score 50 points and I'm on target.
The only player in double figures during the first half was King forward Eric Wise, who scored 11 points.

Temecula Valley senior Jake Meredith was pinned by Gilroy senior Hunter Collins 47 seconds into the overtime period of the 171-pound finals at the CIF state championships at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield.
The score was tied, 0-0, at the end of regulation.

The final seconds are ticking off the clock and it appears as if Taft is going to win the City Section title. The celebration will start in: 3, 2, 1... We have a final score from the Sports Arena: The Toreadors win, 65-55, over Fairfax in the Championship Division final.

Top-seeded Miller has its hands full at halftime against Los Osos. The Rebels hold a 24-22 lead, and that's with 6-foot-4 Cierra Warren playing only seven minutes for Los Osos because of foul trouble.
Warren picked up her second foul just 96 seconds into the game.
Not surprisingly, the Wells sisters for Miller are responsible for much of the scoring, but it's senior Lola and not sophomore Chloe who is leading the way. Lola has 10 and Chloe has five.
There's balanced scoring from Los Osos.
