how does noel grisby and marcus andrews not make first team all city
Posted by: cougar man | December 16, 2008 at 08:29 PM
how does crenshaw only place 5 all city players and how was geno hall left out, Noel grisby was by far the best wr ask 3 from Narbonne, and Marcus andrews only shut down every reciever he faced, city at work again,

and truthfuly speaking deanthony thomas should of been player of the year, he dominated both sides of the ball

Grigsby and Andrews are terrific players but since Crenshaw doesn't post its stats on Maxpreps or anywhere, nobody knows how many catches Grigsby had or Andrews stats. That might have helped.

Cougar man,
Until your coach begins to cooperate for the kids sake then maybe people will have data to recognize his boys. So please do it for the boys!!!!!!

cougar man, That's the exact reason why James Boyd was named player of the year. He dominated both sides of the ball. No one can top what he accomplished this year. Leading the STATE in passing while dominating as a DE.

BOYD WAS THE MAN!
You can always make arguments for certain players but if you look at the things boyd did with the team he had there is no doubt he is the player of the year. Jordan played one of the toughtest pre league schedule
from any city school and came close to winning some
If boyd would have been at crenshaw I have no doubt in my mind that the cougars would be the city champions.

@cougar man,
Marcus andrews did not shut down #3 was at the game Narbonne QB doesn't throw him the ball like he should, he got thrown four passes three he caught and one was over thrown, stop tryingto hype your kid up for more offer.

I am a bit surprised that James Boyd won the player of the year seeing as Jordan only got to the quarters but there is no doubt he was the best player. Congrats James. Now go dominate the basketball court as well.

I remember when the season was about 2 get under way. All everybody would talk about is how James Boyd dominated on the Defensive side of the ball....Well he did win the Defensive of player of the year last year, But I do remember saying that if he would get his act 2gether that he could not only lead the city in passing but the state. I really think that he could be a division 1 QB if someone gave him a chance. I've watched this young man all his years @ Jordan & as a Jordan alumni I am as proud as anyone 2 finally see that Jordan is getting some respect . I congratulate not only James but the entire Jordan Bulldogs Football Team for a great year. Bulldog Pride 4 Ever!!! I bet nobody Noticed that Jodan Had The only FRESHMAN On either of the All City Teams. Patrick Wotten & of all postions Middlle Linebacker. I see a Star in da making.

@ Previous bloggers on this topic
ES- you are right about our bone head coach who does not give up the stats. If we had the right people in charge this would not be happening. We have some elite talent, but we score a D in people skills. It starts at the top. Over the next two years our coach will under a microscope in coaching and people skills. This will be interesting.
@ Mandoloc
We didn't have a lot of support at the game with Jordan, but ask the Narbonne Nation if we have fan support. We do travel well. That game was played the night before thanksgiving, a lot of people must have stayed home.
@ Cougarman
If our coach would give up the love we would be represented better. You know what the problem is and so does the alumni.

colt,
maybe there was a reason they didnt throw it his way,,maybe he was covered,, he caught a screen and a curl route which he came up with a great catch, watch the game, Boyd did the a good job,,but in head to head thomas dominated the game when it was on the line,,2nd half boyd disappeared, im just saying tey have more first team players then crenshaw lol,,,,but i guess if there r no stats what can you do,,,,and dont forget crenshaw non league schedule,,where they easily could have won everyone of those games
Posted by: cougar man | December 18, 2008 at 07:09 AM
Hey Cougarman, crenshaw was defintely a better team than Jordan. And while James did not do a great job in the second half of that game, all props to your D. They were all over James and forced him into mistakes. I am not sure any player would have been able to play well in that situtation. That doesn't mean that James is not the best player.

cougar nation,
i think one of the parents should volunteer to keep the stats, far as the coach, he has put alot players in college, the problem i see with crenshaw is the parents (not all) not holding there kids responsible for alot of things
Posted by: cougar man | December 18, 2008 at 02:05 PM
@ cougar man
Don't blame the parent this is a issue that concern us too. The coach does not want anyone to take stat. There are a group of parents like myself that would do whatever for or kids!

Way to go Bulldogs! Congrats to James Boyd thanks for the great season. I would also like to congradulate Delvon and Eric for having spectacular senior seasons and Beck for having a great junior season. But now for Mr. Parick Wooten I know must of you dont know this but this 14 year old kid lost two of his big brothers this year to gang violence and for him to be able to focus and have a stellar freshman season starting at middle linebacker on var. Everybody need to give him props. Brandon and Kejuan rest in peace true bulldog stars forever.
