Baseball: Winter showdown between City and S.S. Division I champs
Simi Valley, the Southern Section Division I baseball champion, is hosting City Section champion Chatsworth on Saturday at 9 a.m. in a winter game that should be fun to watch.
The two schools played last week in the Moorpark tournament, with Simi Valley winning, 4-3. But this time, both schools are likely to use their top players after using a lot of reserves.
Simi Valley, led by pitcher Drew Sandler and Cal State Fullerton-bound shortstop Jonathan Meyer, is expected to battle Mater Dei, Capistrano Valley and a host of others for the Division I title. Chatsworth returns seven starters from its City title team.
Both head coaches get to coach in the game because the Southern Section got rid of its Association rule.

eric have u ever watched a winter ball game? Probly not so let me tell u how it works. The first 5 to 6 innings u see the good players. The next 5 to 6 innings u see reserves. But watching either of these teams during winter is not fun. Oh by the way what pitchers does chatsworth have that are proven? Didn't muesborn recruit a sophmore pitcher from poly? O wait is recruiting aloud nope its not.
