Live blog: Saugus' Rodriguez sneaks up on Thousand Oaks

November 28, 2008 |  8:46 pm

Momentum is shifting on every possession at College of the Canyons.

After converting a fourth-and-two at the Thousand Oaks 31-yard line, Saugus drove to the one-inch line and Desi Rodriguez scored on a quarterback sneak on fourth down to tie the game, 21-21, with 5:17 left in the third quarter.

Neither defense has been able to stop the opposing offense and this could come down to whichever team ever has the ball last.

John Lister just broke a long run for the Lancers but the play was nullified by a holding penalty and, after a pass incompletion, Thousand Oaks was forced to punt for the first time.

Valencia, runner-up in the Foothill League to Saugus, leads host Westlake, 47-6, in the third quarter.
