Indiana girl sues for chance to play baseball

The Indiana High School Athletic Assn. doesn't allow girls to try out for the high school baseball team if their school has a softball team, so 14-year-old Logan Young has filed a federal lawsuit  after she was prohibited from trying out for the baseball team at Bloomington South High.

"In this day and age, a girl should have the opportunity to participate on an equal footing with the boys in high school sports, and the IHSAA precludes that," Tae Sture, one of the family's attorneys, said Monday.
