Game Blogging: No. 13 Banning at No. 4 Crenshaw

November 20, 2008 |  2:03 pm

I'll provide quarter-by-quarter updates at Varsity Times tonight when No. 13 Banning visits No. 4 Crenshaw at 7 p.m., a first-round matchup, in the City Section Championship Division football playoffs.

The Times' Eric Sondheimer predicts Crenshaw will pull out the victory, but others think Banning is primed for an upset

The Cougars (6-3, 5-0) have won six straight after starting out the season at 0-3 and claimed their third Coliseum League championship in four years.

The Pilots (4-6, 3-3 in Marine League) have yet to go on a winning streak this year. Their last two wins came after three- and two-game losing streaks, respectively. Banning concluded the regular season with a victory over Washington one week after losing to Carson.

Throw out the stats and record books for now because every team is 0-0 in the playoffs. Visit Varsity Times throughout the night to see what happens.

You could have picked a better 1st round matchup to BLOG than this Game...

Crenshaw Nation

Yea he could have picked a better game, but he is tired of seeing B-Ham get their A-- kicked this year. Beat Garfield then maybe he will blog Narbonne kicking B-Ham's butt next week. As for the Shaw hope we bring our A game, because the Coliseum league was weak this year. I hope our tough preseason schedule will pay off tonight. Looking for a packed house tonight at the real C-House!!!
