If unbeaten Sherman Oaks Notre Dame (10-0) makes it through the Pac-5 Division playoffs and wins the championship, it will be because the Knights avoided injuries.

Each of the last two years, a key injury and lack of depth prevented the team from fulfilling its potential.

So far, the Knights are hanging together pretty good, losing only starting offensive guard Daniel Munyer this month to a broken arm. They play lots of two-way starters, and that’s the reason a single injury can cause so much disruption.

As the playoffs begin Friday, keep track of Notre Dame injuries. If the Knights stay healthy, they have a good chance to reach the final and even win it. But if the injuries start to mount, don’t be surprised if the Knights come up short despite having an offense that has been close to unstoppable in recent weeks.
