Football: Garfield 9, Birmingham 6

Sergio Macedo has kicked field goals from 32, 41 and 37 yards in the second quarter to enable Garfield to take a 9-6 lead over Birmingham at halftime.

Since scoring on the first play of the game, Birmingham has struggled and things got worse in the second quarter when two-way starter De'Von Flournoy had to leave the game with a shoulder injury.

Garfield came up with two interceptions and a fumble recovery in the second quarter.
