Boys' basketball: Mater Dei guard commits to USC

Mater Dei junior guard Gary Franklin Jr. has committed to USC.

He's an improving point guard who's going to be part of probably the best starting five in high school basketball this winter in the state of California.

Mater Dei will have Franklin, the North Carolina-bound Wear twins, Travis and David, UCLA-bound Tyler Lamb and Stanford-bound Andy Brown.
