Football: Ashton Kutcher adds star power to Harvard-Westlake

The paparazzi have a new target: Harvard-Westlake and its new assistant freshman football coach, actor Ashton Kutcher.

While Oaks Christian has its own star power, Kutcher has added his star power to the Wolverines. He decided to help coach the freshman team last week as an assistant coach because he’s friends with freshman coach Scott Wood.

The paparazzi, armed with telephoto lens, were at the freshman game last Friday. Audrius Barzdukas, head of athletics at Harvard-Westlake, said he has been impressed.

‘His sincerity and enthusiasm were refreshing,’ he said.

Kutcher played high school football in Iowa and wanted to try coaching. Varsity Coach Vic Eumont said, ‘We’ll definitely have more girls at football games this season.’
