Football: Oaks Christian's Jones picks up first offer

Oaks Christian's Malcolm Jones, one of the top RBs in the Southland, received his first offer this week, from Stanford.
It figures to be the first of many offers for the 6-foot junior, who will play a vital role in the Lions' quest for a sixth consecutive Southern Section division title. He rushed for 2,025 yards and 25 TDs in 2007.
And even though I think Oaks Christian will go at least 14-0 this year, I can't wait to see this kid go up against Santa Clara's Cierre Wood on Nov. 7.
