Can’t imagine any of the UCLA faithful were terribly happy after learning Bruin-commit Isaiah Bowens from Bishop Amat broke his foot recently, essentially leaving the Bruins with just one healthy linebacker recruit from the 2009 class, Arcadia’s Todd Golper.

However, good news, potentially great news, is on the way. I’ve read several reports that indicate Keenan Graham, a highly touted 6-foot-3, 200-plus pound senior backer from Las Vegas Silverado, plans to make an official visit to UCLA in the next month or so.

Several powerhouse programs have scholarship offers on the table for him, including Kansas, Michigan and USC. And it’s worth noting that Virginia Tech could end up being one of the only other schools that Graham visits before making the all-important decision about his future.

Landing an oral commitment from Graham would be huge for the Bruins, given the fact Bowens is expected to make a full recovery before his arrival in Westwood and Golper is not expected to waver about his choice. It will be very interesting to see how this whole scenario plays out.
