Football: Mater Dei players injured in fight
Two Mater Dei football players were injured in a fight during practice on Wednesday, according to a report in the Orange County Register.
Two sophomore players were involved in the altercation. Coach Bruce Rollinson was not present, as he was on his way to Oregon for a passing tournament. School President Patrick Murphy said Thursday Rollinson "was surprised" when told of the incident.
On Thursday, a spokesman for Santa Ana police said a report will be submitted to the district attorney's office, which will determine whether criminal charges are filed. Murphy said school administrators will determine whether disciplinary action is taken against the students involved.

I'm still trying to figure out WHY this story made the news? Am I missing something? Fights break out at high schools every single day????
