Boys’ basketball: Las Vegas, here we come

It’s the biggest week of the summer recruiting season for high school basketball players, with three major tournaments beginning Tuesday in Las Vegas.

The Main Event, the Reebok Summer Championships and the Adidas Super 64 will be loaded with top players and teams from the Southland and throughout the country.

Games will be played in dozens of high school gyms across Las Vegas. College coaches will be coming en masse because it’s an open evaluation period. I can’t wait to see which players rise after a week of the best playing the best.
