Football: Citrus Hill QB Herring commits to Nevada Las Vegas

If you’re a quarterback from the Inland Empire, being overlooked is -- simply put -- just something that comes with the territory. Seemingly everyone plays second fiddle to Los Osos’ Richard Brehaut and Upland’s Josh Nunes, two of the top players in the country, both of whom have received lots of media attention recently.

But there’s someone new from that neck of the woods deserving of a headline, or two. It’s Caleb Herring. The 6-foot-4 junior from Citrus Hill committed to Nevada Las Vegas, choosing the Rebels despite receiving interest from Pacific 10 Conference schools such as Arizona, Arizona State and Oregon.
