James Boyd possesses loads of potential. Scratch that... James Boyd possesses truckloads of potential, a fact that the coaching staff over at USC is well aware of, to be sure. In fact, I’m willing to bet Pete Carroll & Co. were all smiles Thursday after learning the senior from Los Angeles Jordan committed to play for the Cardinal and Gold.

The talented 6-foot-5, 215-plus pounder had offers from Pac-10 Conference schools such as Arizona State, Washington State and Washington. And though Boyd still plans on visiting all three universities, the lure of playing for the Trojans ultimately proved to be too good an opportunity to pass up, according to these quotes.
