Football: Dana Hills' Schroeder commits to Duke

June 23, 2008 | 12:22 pm

Duke must have liked its chances of winning the recruiting battle for Sean Schroeder once the 6-foot-2 senior-to-be quarterback from Dana Hills narrowed his list of potential colleges from 10 to four. With such powerhouse programs as Notre Dame and USC out of the loop, the race was wide open.

That is, until now. The Blue Devils received a commitment from Schroeder on Sunday, beating out the likes of Oregon St., San Diego St. and Stanford. He plans on making an official visit to Duke at some point in December or January. For more on the decision-making process, click here.
