Ocean View tops in TV money from Southern Section

Huntington Beach Ocean View will receive a check for $3,280 from the Southern Section for TV disbursement funds, leading all schools in money received for having games televised during the last school year. A total of $30,480 will be distributed to 39 schools.

The school held a boys' basketball tournament that received lots of TV exposure. Servite is No. 2 with $2,328, mostly from football games televised by FSN Prime Ticket. Dominguez is No. 3 with $2,132. Six of the top 10 schools are public schools.

Here are the remaining top 20: Mater Dei $1,570, Los Alamitos $1,414, Mission Viejo $1,414, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame $1,406, Hart $1,164, Newport Harbor $1,164, Orange Lutheran $1,164, Corona Centennial $1,078, Redlands $914, Redondo $914, Canyon Country Canyon $750, Corona del Mar $750, Crespi $750, J.W. North $750, South Hills $750, West Covina $750 and West Torrance $750.
