It’s official, the recruiting process is finally over for Josh Nunes. The 6-foot-3 senior-to-be from Upland verbally committed to Tennessee on Tuesday, choosing to play quarterback for the Volunteers despite having offers from 20 different Division I programs, including Florida, Oklahoma and Stanford.

Matt Barkley, Richard Brehaut and Allan Bridgford made decisions about their respective futures a while ago, leaving Nunes as one of the nation’s few high-profile prospects without plans already in place. That is, until now, of course. Click here for quotes on the decision-making process.

The fact Nunes made up his mind at this stage of the game shouldn’t come as a major surprise given all the things he had to say in this blog about the prospective colleges pursuing him. This blog offers even more evidence as to why the Vols and Knoxville ended up being the right place at the right time.
