Football: Southland QBs and the Pac-10

June 17, 2008 | 10:11 am

Pac-10 schools seem to be in love with quarterbacks from the Southland this off-season. Three quarterbacks-- led by Mater Dei's Matt Barkley, the reigning Gatorade national football player of the year-- have already committed to schools from in the conference and three more could join them soon -- and at least four are being recruited.

Here's the breakdown.

Already Committed:

USC- Matt Barkley, Mater Dei, pictured
UCLA- Richard Brehaut, Los Osos
Cal- Allan Bridgford, Mission Viejo

Being recruited:

Josh Nunes, Upland- Stanford, Arizona St. (More on Nunes here)
Clark Evans, Los Alamitos- Arizona, Arizona St., Oregon
Cameron Deen, South Hills- Washington (The best arm in the SGV, period)
Sean Schroeder, Dana Hills- Oregon St., Stanford
