Crenshaw defeated Upland, 21-19, to win the adidas seven on seven passing tournament championship Sunday at Loyola Marymount, with both schools advancing to a national tournament July 30-31 in Atlanta.

Crenshaw left little doubt that it has one of the best collection of skill-position players in the City Section. Quarterback Marques Thompson, up from the freshman-sophomore team, was named the tournament most valuable player. Linebacker Hayes Pullard and running back DeAnthony Thomas were also standouts for the Cougars, who defeated Clovis West in the semifinals.
