There are still a couple of hours before they get under way at Glover Stadium. Gerrit Cole, the fantastic pitcher from Orange Lutheran, has been tabbed to start for the North team in what should be his last appearance before his world changes completely.

He is expected to be chosen in the first round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft on Thursday.

The game is in its 41st year sponsored and managed by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Anaheim.

Cole, who has signed with UCLA, has been penciled in as the starter for the game at La Palma Park in Anaheim. Among the others expected to participate is Nick Ramirez of Katella, a pitcher/first baseman who signed with Cal State Fullerton.

You can find rosters at the Register.

First pitch is 7 p.m.
