Track and field: Saugus’ Swarbrick wins Division I boys’ shot put

Daniel Swarbrick, pictured, of Saugus won the Southern Section-Toyota Division I championship shot put with a throw of 59-11 1/2.

Swabrick, a junior, also had the best throw of the day at Mt. San Antonio College on Saturday.

Nigel Davis of Loyola won the Division II title, Connor MuCullough of Chaminade won in Division III and Justin Cutler of Templeton in Division IV. All qualified for Friday’s Masters meet at Cerritos College.
