Advertisement on Maxpreps.com misses its mark
Maybe it's just me, but I still feel uncomfortable with the advertisement that had been on Maxpreps.com showing bullets falling into a stack as a Rounds Per Minute graphic counts up to 4,000.
The ad, which links to the United States Air Force recruiting website, then displays an airman holding a machine gun and the text, "Nothing says we've got your back like 4,000 rounds per minute.''
In this day and age of mass school shootings and overall teenage violence, I can think of better ways to get the attention of high school students and still replenish our military. Especially on a website that's aimed at that particular demographic.
What's next? A Motel 6 advertisement showing two teenagers on a prom date?
