Boys' volleyball: Plenty of lethal hitters on both sides

100_2932 The Championship Division semifinal between fourth-seeded Sylmar and ninth-seeded El Camino Real is set to start in a couple of minutes, and I'm lucky to be alive.

While attempting to snap some semi-clear photos, I almost had my head blown off by a bouncing spike from El Camino Real's Mikel Du Boise. The sophomore didn't seem like the anti-media type, but I'll think twice before walking near the firing range with this kid on the court.

The Spartans have a couple of heavy hitters in their stable, too. Tyler Honeycutt is one of the region's top point gatherers and Felipe Garcia is a top-notch set-up man. This should be a great match.

As soon as the player introductions are over, the match will start. I'll keep you in the loop with game updates.
