Baseball: Fox lands UC Irvine scholarship

Bishop Amat's Jordan Fox has accepted a scholarship offer from UC Irvine, Amat coach Andy Nieto confirmed today/Tuesday.

The senior first baseman had his 16th multi-hit game of the season earlier on the day as Amat remained unbeaten in the Del Rey League by beating St. Monica, 8-7. He comes into the week carrying a batting average of .541.

Fox is the second Lancer to commit to UCI this season, shortstop Tommy Reyes accepted an offer from the Anteaters last month.
