Baseball: Diamond Ranch looking to play spoiler one more time
We're about 10 minutes away from the start of the Southern Section-Toyota Division IV championship game between Diamond Ranch and Northview on Friday at Dodger Stadium. I think it's kind of amazing Diamond Ranch (17-11) has managed to get this far, but the Panthers' victories over Seraph-killers Santa Maria St. Joseph and Patriot proved they're the real deal.
Of course, Northview (25-4) didn't earn the division's top seed for nothing. Starter Aaron Elias and his 1.34 ERA and 10-0 record will be on the hill for the Vikings and it'll be interesting to see how Nick Greene and the rest of the Panthers respond.
