Badminton: Mira Costa boys' doubles team is turning heads

Mira Costa's Chris Schnack and Allen Hsu just pulled off the first major upset of the day by beating third-seeded Bao Nguyen and Vu Huynh of Westminster La Quinta to advance to the semifinals of the Southern Section-Toyota badminton individual championships at the Orange County Badminton Club.

Schnack and Hsu, not seeded, started the match by losing the first game 11-15, but came back to win the next two 15-11 and 15-5.

Schnack and Hsu will play second-seeded Derrick Poon and Hy Ia of Alhambra.
