Randall Carroll of Los Angeles Cathedral and Charles Saseun of Rancho Cucamonga are scheduled continue their rivalry in the 100 meters Saturday, when both are entered in the event at the Mt. San Antonio College Relays.

Carroll, pictured on the right in the blue jersey, won the event Saturday at the Arcadia Invitational in 10.49 seconds, edging Saseun (10.59), pictured in the white jersey. As sophomores last June, Saseun finished second at the state finals in a wind-aided 10.45 seconds and Carroll was third (10.52).

Chris Owusu of Oaks Christian can’t be overlooked in the 100. He finished third at Arcadia in 10.60. The race is set for 5:45 p.m.

Joey Hughes of Long Beach Poly, third in state in the 400, is entered in the one-lap event, along with seventh-place finisher Niko Reaves of Spring Valley Mount Miguel in the San Diego Section.

Hughes and Reaves are also entered in the 200, along with Carroll, Owusu and St. Bernard’s Adam Long, who finished third in state in the one-turn event last June. You can’t get much better than that.

As usual, there will be plenty of excitement in the relays as well. Check here for all the official entries and a schedule of events.
