Pro scouts are in the house at Covina-Northview baseball game

April 23, 2008 |  4:36 pm

3600gunSix major league scouts are in attendance here at the Northview-Covina Valle Vista League baseball game. All of are here to watch Cal State Fullerton-bound Covina pitcher Tyler Pill. I would say he has impressed them so far, but what do I know. Pill's fastball is somewhere in the low 90s and his curve has been clocked at 75 mph.

After four innings, Northview and Covina are tied, 1-1. Covina went up first on a home run by freshman Jeff Moran in the second. Northview tied it in the bottom half of the inning on a two-out double by Ruben Ramirez.

Check back later for the final result and, hopefully, video interviews.
