Just found out that Jackrabbits rank No. 1 on SI list

You bump into cool and kooky stuff all the time on the Internet. I just stumbled upon Sports Illustrated’s ranking of the nation’s top-5 high school athletic programs. Guessing the ranking may be a couple years old but it’s still fun to peruse.

Ranked No. 1 is our very own Long Beach Poly, which has produced legends such as baseball’s Tony Gwynn and tennis’ Billie Jean King. Recently, I found out that National League MVP threat, Chase Utley,is also a Poly grad. Quick sidebar: Utley plays for my fave team ... the Phillies.
