Boys' basketball: Knight's George reportedly commits to Fresno State

April 15, 2008 |  9:43 am

180pxfresnostatebulldogs According to the Fresno Bee, Knight standout Paul George has committed to Fresno State and will sign a letter of intent later this week.

George, who obtained a release from his signing with Pepperdine in February, is considered one of top unsigned basketball players on the West Coast. He averaged 23.2 ppg and 11.1 rpg for the Division II-A finalists.

I had a feeling the 6-foot-8 wing would end up playing for the Bulldogs after he told Scout.com last month he wanted to go somewhere that would allow him to play immediately.
