Girls' basketball: My SFV/North All-Regional Team

March 18, 2008 |  7:15 pm

Orange_basketball_face Now that basketball season is over, it's time to recognize some of this year's standout players from the San Fernando Valley/North region. Feel free to let me know what you think about my All-Regional Team. Or, you can see what it's like to have everyone critique you by posting your own regional team on the comment board.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER

Chelsea Carlisle (Oaks Christian) Sr. -- Carlisle was the most dominant scorer in the region and she played a huge role in helping the Lions secure a share of the Tri-Valley League championship.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Ann Larson (Ventura) -- The tough, defensive strategy Larson directed was enough to push the Cougars to a Channel League title and a Division I-AA semifinal appearance.

FIRST TEAM

SECOND TEAM

HONORABLE MENTION

  • Cheyenne Weekley (Malibu), Nicole Nesbit (Harvard-Westlake), Erin Dautremont (Chaminade), Ane McPike (St. Joseph), Gelenda Loving (Knight).

-- Austin Knoblauch
