Friends, Romans, countrymen...how good is this baseball team?
Los Angeles didn't play in any early baseball tournaments this season, and it's hard to judge how good a team is when its only played two games -- even if it on both of them.
So the Romans, the home team in Monday's RBI tournament game against Venice, is on a fact-finding mission.
Simply put, Los Angeles needs to get an idea of how good it is over the course of the spring break tournament as Southern League play begins March 24.
"I know they've got it here," said Coach Julio Colon, pointing to his head, while discussing his team. "I know they know the system, the signs, the set plays. What we have to find out is if they have the physical talent to go with the mental."
