Gotta love these 9 a.m. starts, though I’m not sure either University or El Camino Real does.

But it is a title game -- the girls’ City Invitational Division championship game in the Sports Arena -- so I’m sure both teams would have played at 5 a.m. if they were so instructed.

ECR is leading 16-13 at halftime. But the Conquistadores had a great chance to bury the Wildcats early (no pun intended). University made only one basket in the first quarter, and was still down 11-5 with 6:30 to play in the first half.

Let’s see whose offense wakes up first.
