Girls' basketball: Narbonne is in an upset mood

March 8, 2008 |  6:49 pm

One quarter is in the books, and if it goes the way it has, Narbonne can win this Southern California Regional Division I final against heavily favored Long Beach Poly. The scrappy Gauchos have received scoring from five players in taking a 13-9 lead.

Reiko Thomas scored the last five points of the quarter for Narbonne. She's the only one with more than two points.

Poly is on the one-dimensional side: Jasmine Dixon has scored six of the Jackrabbits' nine.
