Dominguez jumps out to early lead, but King battles back

March 8, 2008 |  9:04 pm

Balls Dominguez made six of its first eight shots and jumped to a 13-6 lead on a three-pointer by Jordan Hamilton, but King swingman Kawhi Leonard answered with a three of his own to spark a mild comeback by the Wolves, who trail, 19-15, after the first quarter of the Southern California Regional Division I final at the Sports Arena.

Eric Wise has been very active in the paint for King, totaling six points. George Fields, who went scoreless when these teams met Jan. 20 in a 68-60 victory by the Dons, made a layup in the final minutes to cut the Dons' lead to two points.

Myron Green has eight points to lead Dominguez.
