Boys' basketball: Back-to-back titles for Campbell Hall

March 1, 2008 | 10:14 am

Campbell Hall has been impressive from start to finish during Saturday morning's Division III-AA title game. The Vikings extended their lead over Price to 40 points in the fourth quarter, and for the first time in Southern Section championship game history, the running clock rule was instituted due to the enormous advantage.

Starters Jrue Holiday, Dallas Rutherford and Keegan Hornbuckle exited the game for good with 4:13 left in the fourth quarter. And now, everyone is waiting for the final seconds to run off off the clock: 3, 2, 1... That's it. The Vikings have successfully defended their title with a 73-38 victory.
